About Liz Higley, In-Person and Telehealth Clinician
Liz is a licensed clinical mental health counselor. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and her master’s in mental health counseling from the University of Phoenix. Liz has worked in various community and substance use counseling centers in Las Vegas, Nevada, and, most recently, for the past 3 years in Tooele County. Through her work and lived experience, she has developed a passion for working with women in their various stages of life and development. Liz is trained in perinatal mood disorders and advanced perinatal mental health psychotherapy. Liz is passionate about helping women feel supported and heard through difficulties with infertility, birth/hospital trauma and loss, hormone imbalances, parenting, and the challenges associated with the phases of a woman’s life. Liz and her husband, 10-year-old triplets, and 3 cats live locally in Tooele County.
Liz’s approach to counseling is centered around guiding her clients in the direction they determine for themselves. She believes that we often only need to be truly heard and given a safe place to express our thoughts and feelings in order to find acceptance within ourselves and our experiences.
